For the past year, I have been struggling to get my weight to go down... I still have atleast 40 pounds to go and have not been able to get the scale to go down. I've changed up my training... I know I can eat cleaner, but I still want to live a life that I can maintain... and I'm still training and racing in triathlons.
Since I have been on a plateau for the past year, I knew that it was time to give up my final vice... for the past 3 months, I have cut my alcohol calories by 75%. I lost 50 pounds with eating right and exercise and I didn't hit that final frontier... but after being stagnant with the the numbers for over a year, I knew it was time... and now my weight numbers are going up...
... then I saw these photos side to side... my lowest weight a year ago and my current weight more than 10 pounds heavier. I've seen the photo difference in 2 pounds... we all have as I've been posting these photos, so I really don't understand these photos since this doesn't look like almost an 11 pound difference...

Once again, I need to understand that I have to watch more than the number on the scale. I have to watch the way my clothes fit, how my body feels, and how I am performing with my training. I did my last brick before the Spring Sprint Triathlon today and I am right on track with my goal. This weight loss thing is really tough... but long term, I'm going to be sure it works!
One week to go until my first Spring Sprint Triathlon... WOO HOOOO!

Are you sure your scale is working, because you look thinner in that second picture! Whatever the number, you look fantastic! The way you feel is the most important part!
Hey girlie! I have not commented here in a while, but I feel your pain. I always fuss that I have to lose HUGE to drop a size. I have lost 15 lbs recently and am still in the same size jeans. They do fit better, but really? And I know from past experience that I need to lose about 25 MORE to drop a full size. It stinks. So I have to go more by how I FEEL than what size I wear or what the scale says. I am so super proud of you! Keep up your hard work!
Thanks Brenda and Gloria! :-) Feeling good and sexy for Jeff... THAT is what it is all about! :-)
